My Story
Iβm hosting a Coffee& Cake Sale Morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support from Wednesday 24th to Sunday 28th September 2025. Macmillan is 98% funded by voluntary donations and with your help Macmillan can deliver the vital support people living with cancer need.
When I was diagnosed with APL (Blood Cancer) in March 2024 it felt like our world had come to an end. Thankfully I am now in remission but it is a daily worry that it could come back at anytime. When I was diagnosed, we just didnβt know where to turn then we were put in touch with MacMillan. Straight away a lot was taken off our minds. Whilst I was trying to come to terms with the treatment I was being started on, Nigel was helped with form filling etc and was pointing in all of the right directions with the help we both needed. Grateful is an understatement and I will forever do all I can to help, support and repay MacMillan for the time help and support they gave us when we needed it the most.
Macmillan will do whatever it takes for the 3.5 million people living with cancer in the UK right now. The number of people being diagnosed with cancer is rising and more people are surviving cancer than ever before, so we need to act now to prevent a crisis in cancer care. Macmillan works with partners to provide services for people living with cancer at every stage of their cancer experience including the Macmillan Support Line, money advisers, award-winning cancer booklets, the online community and Macmillan nurses, GPs and support workers.
Thank you for your kind donation. It really will make a difference!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and secure. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to Macmillan Cancer Support.
Every single penny will help. Please do help if you can.
Thank You π
